Early Career Researcher and Teaching Fellow Conference at NOC Southampton

Last month the Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences (University of Southampton) Early Career Researcher and Teaching Fellow Conference was a fantastic networking and career development event co-sponsored by the Challenger Society. 

Hosted by Ocean and Earth Science at the Na@onal Oceanography Centre Southampton, over 70 Postdocs, Teaching and Research Fellows and Technicians aIended from across the Faculty. The many excellent research talks were complimented by tips and guidance on obtaining research funding, insights from external speakers on their ‘post-postdoc’ careers outside academia and a Q&A panel session with research fellowship holders.

Highly commended talk: Dr. Elizaveta Suturina (Chemistry)
Highly commended talk: Dr. Claire Dooley (Ocean and Earth Science)
Best poster: Dr. Catriona Menzies (Ocean and Earth Science)
Highly commended poster: Dr. Alison Baylay (Ocean and Earth Science). 

The event was organised by the FNES steering group to implement the Concordat for the Career Development of Researchers.
